Doodlepip Designs

A bit about Louise Amond and Doodlepip Designs:

One winter I set out to buy my little Bichon Daisy a coat. I was dismayed by the lack of choice and poor fit in many of the shops. They were boring! Certainly not good enough for my dog! There seemed to be only one answer – make one. With Daisy now looking so good her sister Biscuit, a black Labrador, definitely needed one too! My made to measure dog coat was now born. Last winter these proved to be very popular, with me making coats for dogs of all shapes and sizes – spaniels, shitzus, westies, staffies and a few crosses too.

The next obvious step was to move into other dog accessories such as collars and leads and so Doodlepip Designs was created out a love for making, and of course a love of my dogs!

I studied Art and Design at DJCAD, University of Dundee and have taught Art at schools in the south of England and occasionally still do. I love being creative and am often found drawing, painting, sewing and making.

While my coats, collars and leads all have a strong practical side to them I also aim to bring a little fun and fashion to the doggy world with quality materials and beautiful fabrics. Bandanas, bow-ties and corsages also add that extra bit of style for those special occasions!

Finding was a brilliant discovery for me. Customers at Art and Craft fairs often comment on how professional my work looks and I have no doubt the addition of my Doodlepip labels really helps.

Never being one to settle, I am constantly expanding my range which now includes bags, cushions, keyrings and dog toys. I can be found at a variety of craft fairs which are listed on my website.
